 Portland Parent Group

Parent groups are an important opportunity for parents to talk with other parents, and for kids to be with others just like them. Most kids never see another with hearing aids, cochlear implants or using ASL. The Portland Parent group offers free childcare, with two qualified teachers watching the children. The children are in the gym where they can play with a variety of toys.

Parents have found this time with other parents to be extremely important. It's an opportunity to talk about any worries, concerns, celebrations, and then there is always the question...."Is this a deaf thing?"!!

The Portland Parent Group meets every other month at Tucker Maxon Oral School from 9:30-11am. Next meeting is December 12th. ASL interpreter available.
